Meet The Practitioner: Vinodha Joly, LMFT

SKILLED, COMPASSIONATE, TRUSTED

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unable to let go of the past? Do you find yourself repeating unhelpful patterns of relating? You do not have to struggle on your own. I provide a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment where you can feel seen, understood, and validated, thereby helping you connect with your innate self-healing capacities to obtain relief from longstanding issues and symptoms (such as anxiety and depression). With increased self-trust and self-compassion comes empowerment and clarity to lead a more fulfilling life.

Having grown up in several countries across different continents, I am multi-culturally competent and well aware of the issues of identity and other challenges faced by immigrants in a new country, as well as the unique experiences of people from different ethnic and cultural groups.

I am familiar with the stresses of working in this fast-paced Silicon Valley and the struggles of balancing work, family and personal endeavors, as I worked as a researcher and software engineer in the high-tech industry for over a decade, before discovering my passion in psychology and transitioning to a vocation as a psychotherapist.

My practice is informed by scientific research and evidence-based methods, by ancient wisdom traditions such as mindfulness, as well as my training in trauma-informed integrative modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.

I am committed to improving my skills, knowledge and expertise through continued education, consultation and clinical training, as well as my own personal psychotherapy, to ensure that you receive safe and effective treatment with the highest standard of care. Seeing the positive impact that my work has in the lives of others fills me with gratitude, and I am so honored to be a witness to the transformational changes in your life.

Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love.
